I am a licensed electronics engineer. Imagine the shock in my parents' faces when I announced that I'd rather be a virtual assistant than be in a career path that slowly killed me. I never liked engineering yet I managed to graduate, got two licenses & even landed a decent job.
The world seemed to go against me but I had a dream. I still do. I dream of a life of freedom from the corporate jungle. There were days when I felt so frustrated because I couldn't live up to the expectations of other people. During those darkest days, one book picked me up & told me to continue with my dreams, my life, my freedom.
Three years after I left the grey buildings, I find myself happily thriving. 💕 Silly how a book pushed me to be brave. But at the end of the day, I already know what I wanted to hear. I was just looking for someone (or for my case, something) to say it.
